Purpose, Function, And The Principles Of Evaluation Of Learning

A.    Objective evaluation
Objective evaluation of learning is to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of learning systems, both concerning the objectives, materials, methods, media, learning resources, the environment and the assessment system it self.
The specific objective evaluation of learning tailored to the type of evaluation of learning itself. Such as the evaluation and development planning, evaluation, monitoring, impact evaluation, evaluation of the efficiency-economical, and evaluation of a comprehensive program.
Gilbert Sax (1980) suggested an objective evaluation of the measurement is to "selection, placement, diagnosis and remediation, feedback, norm-referenced and criterion referenced interpretation, motivation and guidance of learning, program and curriculum improvement: formative and summative evaluation and theory development".
B.     Education Evaluation function.
The evaluation function there are a few things:
a.       Evaluation of a selective function.
Teachers have a way to megadakan selection process for prospective students, untu choose whether students ride to the next level, to select Shiva which should be scholarships to select students who are entitled to leave the school.
b.      Evaluation of diagnostic functions.
Teachers will know kelemaha-weaknesses in students and know penyebabanya and know how to handle it.
c.       Evaluation serves as a placement.
Teachers can menmpatkan kemempuan students who have the same and the same group.
d.      Evaluation serves as a measure of success.
It intends weeks to determine the extent to which the success of a program.
The evaluation function in the process of development of the education system intended for: improving the system, accountability for government and society, the determination of the follow-up results of development.
C.    Principle - Principle Of Education Evaluation
The principle is needed as a guide in the evaluation program. By evaluation can be said to be as good as in practice always adhering to the following principles:
a.       The principle of continuity (continuous / continuous) This means that the evaluation was not only an activity of semester exams or hike alone, but should be carried out continuously to obtain assurances as to something that is measured in teaching and learning activities and encourage students to learn how to prepare himself for the activities of further education.
b.      Comprehensive Principles (overall). All facets of the personality of students, all aspects of behavior, skills, crafts are the parts that participate tested, therefore the test items should be arranged in such a manner in accordance with these aspects (cognitive, affective, psychomotor).
c.       Objectivity principle. Objective here concerns the form and assessment of results is that padapenilaian result should not include subjective factors, the feelgood factor, factor the relationship between educators with students.
d.      Evaluations should use a good gauge of course a good evaluation using a measuring device which is also good, gauges valid.
